Promotional Socks & Custom Gifting Programs
Deadline-driven custom sock runs for agencies, corporate gifting and event merchandise — with the packaging formats that make a promotional product feel considered.
The problems this channel actually has
Be blunt about which of these you recognise — it tells us more about your requirement than a specification does.
The deadline is not negotiable
An event date or a campaign launch is fixed. A supplier who quotes eight weeks and delivers ten has failed, whatever the quality.
A promotional product has to look deliberate
A plain sock with a printed logo reads as cheap. The same sock in a printed band or a branded box reads as a gift — and gets kept.
Small runs, wide variety
Promotional work is often three designs at 500 pairs each, or ten designs at 300. Suppliers organised around single large runs struggle with it.
Logo colour accuracy matters more than usual
Brand guidelines are strict about colour, and a logo that comes back the wrong shade of brand blue is a complaint.

How it runs, step by step
A typical first engagement for this channel — the shape is the same for a 500-pair trial and a programme order.
Send the deadline first
The date drives everything else. We will tell you immediately whether it is achievable.
Confirm artwork and colour
Vector logo files plus Pantone references. A printed proof for sublimation in five days.
Choose the presentation
Belly band, hook box or gift box — the format decides whether it reads as merchandise or a gift.
Sample and approve
A physical sample in 7–10 days. Approve the logo colour on the actual yarn, not on screen.
Produce against the date
Production scheduled backwards from the event date, with the shipping method matched to the window.
One consolidated shipment
Multiple designs in one consignment, with documents prepared for the destination.

What we will not do
Quote a price we cannot hold
If the target price you have set requires a yarn or a construction that will not deliver the quality your market expects, we will say so and propose the nearest achievable version — rather than quoting low and substituting later.
Pretend a warehouse is a factory
SOXMILL is a sourcing company, not a mill owner. We run the specification, the QC chain and the documentation, and we are upfront about that. What we do not do is imply we own machinery we do not.
Take an order we cannot make the date on
If your deadline is not achievable we would rather lose the order than accept it and fail it. Dates are quoted as ranges with buffer built in.
Sell your custom design to anyone else
Your artwork, patterns and specifications are used only to produce your order. We do not offer custom developments to other buyers.
Promotional & Gifting — common questions
How quickly can you turn around a promotional run?
From approved artwork: 7–10 days for a sample, then 15–25 days for bulk production, plus shipping. If the deadline is tighter, express production is sometimes possible for sublimation-printed styles because they do not need a knitting pattern round. Tell us the date first and we will be straight with you about whether it is achievable.
Can you do many designs in a small total quantity?
Yes. The minimum applies per design, so three designs at 500 pairs each is a perfectly normal promotional order, consolidated into one shipment. It is a structure we see constantly and we are set up for it.
Can you match our brand colour exactly?
We match to Pantone with a ±0.8 ΔE tolerance. For brand-critical colour, approve the colour on a physical sample rather than on screen — screen calibration varies and it is the only way to be sure.
Can you handle packaging, labels and barcodes?
Yes. Printed belly bands, hangtags, header cards, hook boxes, gift boxes and multi-language inserts, plus GS1 barcode and SKU management for retail and Amazon. Packaging is quoted as a separate line so you can see exactly what it costs.
What do you need from me to start?
Vector artwork (AI, PDF or EPS) works best, with Pantone codes for exact colour matching. Plus target quantity, delivery market and target price if you have one. A reference photo or a sketch is enough to open the conversation — roughly 70% of our buyers start without a tech pack.
What is the bulk production lead time?
18–28 days from deposit and sample approval. Compression and heavy terry constructions sit at the longer end. You receive a photo and video progress report every week while your order runs.
Request a Quote — no obligation.
Send what you have. A reference sock, a quantity and a target market is enough for us to quote.
