Wholesale Socks for Retail Stores & Chains

Repeat-cycle sock supply for independent stores, regional chains and department stores — retail-ready packaging, planogram-friendly colour ranges and reorder reliability.

The problems this channel actually has

Be blunt about which of these you recognise — it tells us more about your requirement than a specification does.

Empty pegs cost more than stock

A sock wall with gaps sells less of everything on it. The real cost of a supply failure is not the missing order, it is the sales you lose on the product that is still there.

Own-brand needs to look own-brand

A private label sock next to a national brand has to hold its own on the shelf. Packaging and colour consistency decide that, not the yarn.

Reorder quality drifts

The second order looks slightly different from the first. Batch four is a different shade. That is how a private label line loses a customer.

Seasonal deadlines do not move

A winter range that arrives in January is a write-off. Retail calendars are the hardest constraint in the whole supply chain.

How it runs, step by step

A typical first engagement for this channel — the shape is the same for a 500-pair trial and a programme order.

01

Plan the range

Tell us the shelf space, the price points and the season. We propose the range structure.

02

Trial two or three styles

500 pairs each. Enough to read sell-through on a real fixture.

03

Set the packaging

Peg-board, hook box or banded — decided with the trial so the reorder needs no change.

04

Lock the specification

One document: yarn, gauge, size grade, colour standards, packaging and carton marking.

05

Reorder against the document

18–22 days from deposit. Same shade, same size, same pack — batch six matches batch one.

06

Extend the range

Add styles and colourways against the same specification base as confidence grows.

What we will not do

Quote a price we cannot hold

If the target price you have set requires a yarn or a construction that will not deliver the quality your market expects, we will say so and propose the nearest achievable version — rather than quoting low and substituting later.

Pretend a warehouse is a factory

SOXMILL is a sourcing company, not a mill owner. We run the specification, the QC chain and the documentation, and we are upfront about that. What we do not do is imply we own machinery we do not.

Take an order we cannot make the date on

If your deadline is not achievable we would rather lose the order than accept it and fail it. Dates are quoted as ranges with buffer built in.

Sell your custom design to anyone else

Your artwork, patterns and specifications are used only to produce your order. We do not offer custom developments to other buyers.

Retail Stores — common questions

Can you supply on a repeat cycle?

Yes, that is the core of what we do for retail. Once the specification is locked, a reorder runs in 18–22 days against the same document, which is what keeps shade, size and packaging consistent across batches.

Do you supply barcoded retail packs?

Yes. UPC or EAN barcodes on single units and multipacks, printed and applied by us. If you hold a GS1 prefix, send the numbers; if not, we can allocate barcodes for retail programs.

Can you work to a seasonal deadline?

Yes, and we will tell you at quotation stage if the window is tight rather than after the deposit. Seasonal ranges are planned backwards from your delivery date, with the sampling and packaging stages scheduled rather than left to run.

Can I mix several styles in one order?

Yes — the MOQ applies per design, not per order. Colourways, sizes and styles are consolidated into one consignment, and each design keeps its own colourway count.

What is your MOQ?

500 pairs per design & colourway for knitted styles and 1,000 pairs for sublimation-printed styles. Mixed sizes count towards the same design. Volume basics such as a combed cotton everyday crew sit at 3,000 pairs per colour because the price point needs a longer run.

Can you handle packaging, labels and barcodes?

Yes. Printed belly bands, hangtags, header cards, hook boxes, gift boxes and multi-language inserts, plus GS1 barcode and SKU management for retail and Amazon. Packaging is quoted as a separate line so you can see exactly what it costs.

Request Wholesale Catalog — no obligation.

Send what you have. A reference sock, a quantity and a target market is enough for us to quote.
